Afluria PF Quadrivalent 2021-2022 injection is the recombinant, quadrivalent influenza vaccine indicated for the prevention of influenza A and B disease in adults and children 6 months of age and older. Afluria PF Quadrivalent 2021-2022 injection is supplied in 0.5-mL prefilled syringes. Each 0.5-mL dose of Afluria PF Quadrivalent 2021-2022 injection contains 15 mcg of hemagglutinin (HA) of each of the following: A/Singapore/INFIMH-16-0019/2016 (H3N2), A/New Caledonia/20/17 (H1N1), B/Brisbane/60/2008, and B/Phuket/3073/2013.

Afluria PF Quadrivalent 2021-2022 injection is a vaccine used to help prevent influenza (flu) in people 6 months of age and older. Afluria PF Quadrivalent 2021-2022 injection contains four different strains of inactivated (killed) influenza virus. It is given by injection into a muscle (intramuscularly).

Afluria PF Quadrivalent 2021-2022 injection is used to help prevent the following types of flu:

-H1N1
-H3N2
-B
-Yamagata

Afluria PF Quadrivalent 2021-2022 injection is used in people 6 months of age and older.

It is not known whether Afluria PF Quadrivalent 2021-2022 injection is safe or effective in pregnant women.

It is not known whether Afluria PF Quadrivalent 2021-2022 injection is safe or effective in children younger than 6

Side Effects and Dosage of Afluria PF Quadrivalent 2021-2022 injection

Afluvia PF Quadrivalent 2021-2022 is a vaccine indicated for active immunization against influenza A subtype viruses (H1N1, H3N2, and B) and influenza B viruses in persons aged ≥6 months. Afluria PF Quadrivalent 2021-2022 is supplied as a 0.5-mL prefilled syringe. Each 0.5-mL dose contains 15 µg of hemagglutinin (HA) of each influenza virus A/H1N1, A/H3N2, and B/Victoria lineage antigen, and is formulated with 0.225 mg of aluminum hydroxide.

The most common adverse reactions reported in ≥1% of recipients were injection-site pain, injection-site erythema, headache, fatigue, and myalgia.

The recommended dosage of Afluria PF Quadrivalent 2021-2022 is 0.5 mL administered intramuscularly
