Side Effects and Dosage of OraVerse
Oraverse is a local anesthetic reversal agent indicated for the reversal of the local anesthetic effects of bupivacaine, lidocaine, and mepivacaine. It is supplied as a 0.2% oraverse solution in a 10 mL single-use vial.
Oraverse is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the components of the product.
Oraverse is administered by direct injection into the wound site, submucosal tissue, or parotid gland. The recommended dose is 0.2 mL/kg (maximum dose, 10 mL).
The onset of action is typically immediate, and the duration of action is approximately 10 minutes.
